Today, Lund is the only remaining Swedish city where SonyEricsson mobile-phones are being developed. Major cutdowns have struck the company in 2009. Hopefully, the new line of smart-phones will bring SonyEricsson back to its feet.

Malmö is an old industrial town which has undergone a transformation into a modern city in just over a decade. Remainders of the past can still be found though, scattered everywhere. The shipyard “Kockums“ was once one of the city’s largest employers – today only small bits still remain. Large parts of the vast areas have been taken over by other activities. The old dock ramp, for instance, has now been partly rebuilt into a famous outdoor skate park - ”Stapelbäddsparken”.
