THE SWEDISH DREAM

In the countryside in the south of Sweden, this is where I grew up. I still think of it as the perfect place to be a child, this was my safe world and it partly made me to who I am today. I remember summers as endless, filled with bare feet, shadows under the big trees and the daily chores at my parents small farm. I became a mother to little baby Iris in June 2009. She will have a different childhood from me, but I wish that she will feel as lucky as I did, growing up at Lövhults Lillegård.

My parents had a small farm with cows and beef-cattle, they made a good living through hard work. Today the barn is empty and quiet, only used as a storage. Small agriculture’s, like this once was, hardly exist anymore.

In January 2005 everything changed over a night. A big storm called <em>Gudrun</em> destroyed life's work of several generations, leaving just a big mess and huge economic losses. It changed the landscape completely.
