Swedish electricity anno mid 19th century - hydroelectric power. Once, before 1951 when the mighty gorge Harsprånget at the river Luleälven was dammed, this magnificant river had rapids that was roaring so loud it enticed artists from far and beyond to paint and photograph it.
Today this river and many other are tamed and silent. The only sound are from the turbines at the powerstations.
